Turning on the Wow Factor for Mercedes Dealership Awards Night

We love to impress guests and this gala night was no exception. Our client was thrilled with every aspect of the night. In her own words:

“Can I say what a wonderful venue you have, what wonderful staff you have and what wonderful service you give. And the food was amazing – cooked to perfection – which can't be easy when catering to large numbers… Helen, I'd like to say a huge big thank you to you personally. You delivered well beyond our expectations on everything that you promised. Excellent service – first rate 5-star treatment.”

Mansfield Traquair played court to the Mercedes Dealership ‘Oscars’. Following an extremely successful event in 2008, the last time the dealership awards were held in Edinburgh, the corporate office was delighted to host the event again at Mansfield Traquair, and the team were delighted to work with them to pull out all the stops on this red carpet affair.

Guests arrived to a single piper and the mood was set with ‘paparazzi’ style photography of attendees as they arrived and entered a champagne reception in the nave. The rest of the event space was hidden behind our amazing gold drape and as the reception wound down a dramatic drum roll cued the reveal which pulled back the drape to reveal the full splendor of the Mansfield – set for a glittering evening of dining, awards and dancing. Guests were escorted to their seats as the full pipe band descended from the Baldachino performing ‘Beating the Retreat’.

For dinner, the scene was set with tables of linens in the brand colours of shimmering silver and navy blue to match the iconic Mercedes logo that was projected to larger-than-life size on each wall of the venue. Metre high floral arrangements from Planet Flowers graced the beautifully dressed tables and large plasma screens mounted high above ensured that every guest had the best seat in the house.

The stunning menu for the evening began with a delicate herb and flower salad served with buffala mozzarella, prosciutto and chilled asparagus followed by a main entrée of roasted fillet of Highland Gold beef with port sauce and dauphinoise potato and finished with a flight of sweet citrus including mini lemon tart, vanilla and lime panna cotta, and a pink grapefruit and orange curd cereal shot. All served with perfectly matched wines of course!

The evening’s entertainment and award giving was the highlight followed by excellent entertainment featuring a live band and several unique floor shows. Toes were tapping and it wasn’t long before gowns were swirling on the dance floor. It was a night to remember for all who attended and certainly for those who were honoured with awards.
